Is disassembly included with house removals?+
Yes — standard furniture disassembly and reassembly is included in every Wolton Removals house move at no extra charge. This covers beds, wardrobes, desks, and flat-pack items. Specialist items like pianos or gym equipment may need prior arrangement.
Can I hire you just for disassembly without moving?+
Absolutely. We offer standalone disassembly or assembly as a paid service — useful if you're selling furniture, putting items in storage, or receiving flat-pack deliveries. Call 01234 314624 for a quote.
How much does flat-pack assembly cost?+
Standalone assembly typically costs £30-£80 per item depending on complexity. A double wardrobe averages £50-£70; a simple bookcase around £30. We provide a fixed price before starting so there are no surprises.
Do you bring your own tools?+
Yes — we carry a full tool kit including Allen keys, screwdrivers, socket sets, cordless drills, and spare fittings. You don't need to provide anything.
What if parts are missing or broken?+
We photograph every assembly before dismantling and bag every fitting by item. If we notice a missing or damaged part during assembly, we'll tell you immediately. For brand-new flat-pack, we'll help you contact the manufacturer for replacements.
Can you dismantle fitted wardrobes?+
Yes, with caveats. Fitted wardrobes screwed to walls or ceilings can usually be dismantled, but panels may not survive removal cleanly. We'll assess on arrival and advise whether reassembly is feasible or if replacement panels are needed.
